EPC’s were introduced in England and Wales on 1 August 2007 as part of Home Information Packs (HIPs) for domestic properties, when the requirement for HIPs was removed in May 2010, the requirement for EPCs continued. An EPC is an assessment of the energy efficiency of a property.
EPC’s are required on either the sale or rental of a property and are valid for 10 years. We employ our own Domestic Energy Assessors to make the process simple and cost-effective for our clients.
An EPC gives a rating of the Energy Efficiency of a property and a rating of the Environmental Impact for a property on a scale from A - G, the most efficient properties being rated A and the least efficient properties being rated G.
